to read the Reader's Digest and watch the "Lawrence Welk" show.

Sadly, some straight people feel compelled to disguise the outward manifestations of their sexual orientation for fear of being thought "different" or "out of it."

They may trade in their polyester suits for leather bomber jackets and faded jeans, cuffed once.

They may sell their CB radios and find themselves turning to weight lifting.

They may buy Afghan hounds and take up tap-dancing.

Some may even quit prfectly good jobs to open punk boutiques or antique dealerships or small restaurants that only serve coulibiac and braised endives.

Such deception is, of course, unnecessary. Heterosexuality may not be fashionable, but, for the most part, it's really nothing to be ashamed of.

Dear Editor,

THE ACTION MAIL BAG

You are to be connended on the exco1lent magazine you put out. I have found it very refreshing, from the very first issue, to see a local maga-

zine that concentrated on all the positive aspects of Cleveland and it's Gay Community, rather than the constantly negative reporting most of the other publications soon to thrive on. Although it is true that there are many things that could be changed to make our city better, it is nice to sea a magazine which brings the many positive aspects to our attention.

Cleveland is a city on the move. The gay scene itself is now on par with that of other cities. Exciting additions are evident everywhere: Our three major discos, Exedro, Traxx and Neu

Dimensions are outstanding and now the Gold Coast and Chaps can be added to that list. In addition to the 620 Club we now have Keys for the men, while The Godmother is complemented by Isis for the vorgn. We also have four publicatione ACTION, Metroplex, Gear and also Z-Trash. Now there are three leather clubs, also bouling, softball, bridge and volleyball.

Keep up the good work, stressing the positive, and I am sure you will remain the best read and most widely sought after publication in Ohio.

Dear Editor,

Who knows who first started referring to homosexuals as "Lesbians and Gay Men." A separationist perhaps who wantod nothing to do with either group. The females of the lesbian persuasion resent being excluded from the Gay Community at large. But the tiresome phrase continues on, perpetuated mostly by people who should know better.

If "gay" is not an acceptable term for all homosexuals, then let's throw it in the sano Woll of Loneliness as "fag, homo, dyke, lesbo, faggot, quer" and all others that come to mind.

Let's make gay women part of this giant minority and step segregating them. Sandy Antoniewicz
